D-E Celebrates Great Art

Just in time for our School's Annual Winter Arts Festival, D-E has received new sculptures on loan from world-reknowned artists to display throughout campus.  As our own students prepare to exhibit their own creations, the sculptures serve as a reminder of the value of art to this community.  Please join us for our Winter Arts Festival on Sunday, December 8 (Middle School) or Sunday, December 15 (Upper School).  Performances begin at 2:00 in Schenck Auditorium.  Student artwork will be displayed for viewing outside throughout the Klein Center.

Listed below are links to the artists websites, which provide more information about the works on loan to the School. This marks our second year collaborating with the New York Sculptor's Guild, and this year we are featuring a piece by non guild members, Einar and Jaime De La Torre, international glass artists & sculptors. Our very own resident artist and teacher, Ms. Diaz has worked with them for the past two summers and painted the eyes on the recent piece that is on loan to Dwight-Englewood for this exhibit. (It is a small piece located outside of Head of School, Dr. De Jarnett's office.)
