315 East Concert This Thursday Kicks-Off "Arts in April @ D-E"!

This Thursday, April 12, 2012, a concert by 315 East: A Chamber Ensemble, will kick-off the first event of "Arts in April @ D-E"!

On April 12, all ages will be sure to enjoy puppetry magic and a "soldier's tale" when 315 East, A Chamber Ensemble, D-E's professional resident chamber ensemble, performs "L'Histoire du Soldat" (The Soldier's Tale) by Igor Stravinsky.  This suite will be performed in its entirety with original narration translated into English, and will feature hand-carved marionettes by expert Puppeteer Dan Butterworth.  This is a can't-miss event!   Click here for our informational flyer (PDF) about the April 12 concert: "L'Histoire du Soldat"

Tickets are priced at $25 general admission and $15 for seniors/students.  Call 201-569-9500, ext. 3403 or Emailsilvek@d-e.org to reserve your seats today.

Later this month, on Sunday, April 22, come back to campus and join us for our First Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit Opening Reception, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Rain date April 29), in D-E's Library Circle.  Presented in partnership with the Sculptors' Guild of New York, the Exhibit has been curated by former Trustee and D-E Parent Kathy Leventhal. Works by artists Sarah Haviland, Richard Heinrich, Howard Kalish, and Elaine Lorenz now occupy our D-E School campus and a newly-installed piece ("Untitled") by senior D-E student Matt Brice '12 is also on display.  Click here for an informational flyer (PDF) about the April 22 Opening Reception.

The April 12 concert and April 22 Exhibit are presented as part of the 2011-'12 Season for the D-E Head of School Series.  To learn more about the Series, view more photos, and learn about upcoming events, visit www.d-e.org/series
